La Premier League si è ufficialmente conclusa con la 38a e ultima giornata. L’Arsenal ha festeggiato il titolo con la vittoria sul Crystal Palace mentre il City è stato sconfitto dall’Aston Villa. Colpo esterno del Manchester United, passato in casa del Brighton. I Seagulls, nonostante il ko, sono riusciti comunque a qualificarsi per la prossima Conference League.
Clamorosa eliminazione dalle coppe europee per il Chelsea, sconfitto dal Sunderland, automaticamente qualificato in Europa League. Delusione anche per il Brentford, a cui non è bastato il pareggio in casa del Liverpool per centrare l’Europa. Si salva grazie alla vittoria sull’Everton il Tottenham mentre il West Ham, nonostante il successo sul Leeds, è stato retrocesso in Championship.
